Christmas in July
Sometimes when the temperatures rise...and rise...the only thing for it is to try to stay cool, and think of cooler weather.
The Slumber Hat is an interesting top-down knit, with just a bit of colorwork at the brim. Sizing is for babes through adults, and I used Plymouth Select DK on the recommended needles.
Fleece Navidad was also worked up in Plymouth Select DK, but as the pattern has a variety of options for both sizes and yarn weight, you could use HiKoo Simplicity, HiKoo Kenzie, Cascade 220, Cascade 220 Superwash, Plymouth Encore, Jaggerspun Mousam Falls, or Studio Donegal Soft Donegal.
Mountain Colors Twizzle Perspectives
I had my annual meeting with my rep for Plymouth Yarn, Mountain Colors, Knitted Wit, and Jaggerspun, and she had some Twizzle Perspectives kits with her. The cowl shown is the Twirlring; another option is the Perspective Cowl, which uses easy slipped stitch patterns to blend the colors and add texture. Twizzle is an 85/15 wool silk blend
Judy Rouse dropped off a few of her beautiful yarn bowls this week!
Christmas stockings are on the list of items you REALLY need to start well in advance, especially if you plan to make multiples! Pictured here are the Mix-It-Up Stocking (Textured) and the Cascade 220 Christmas Stocking. Many patterns provide a bounty of interchangeable charts, so you can mix and match to your heart's content. More ideas here!
Carnivore looks more like a vest now! Knit One Crochet Too's 2nd Time Cotton, made primarily from recycled fibers has been much more comfortable to knit with than I often find cotton yarns! Really enjoying watching the twisted stitch pattern emerge...
Through the Loops MKAL
Still using the MKAL image here to avoid spoilers for those who don't want to see past their own knitting, but if you want to see through Clue 4, you can view progress on my Ravelry project page for this project.
