Slippers for Survivors Event — Thursday, April 20, 5-9pm

Posted by on April 18, 2017

This Thursday April 20th, during regular open stitching time from 5-9pm, Yarn Folk will be hosting Slippers for Survivors, an opportunity for stitchers of all ages to support ASPEN Victims’ Services by donating slippers to the local shelter. Find the Slippers for Survivors pattern on Ravelry, or use your personal favorite! Knitting help and light refreshments will be provided. All unused slipper donations accepted.

In Kittitas County, ASPEN (Abuse Support and Prevention Education Now) provides domestic violence advocacy and emergency shelter to victims of domestic violence. Support is available for victims’ friends and family. Services are free and confidential. Aspen is a non-profit program of Central Washington Comprehensive Mental Health.

Special thanks to Sydoney Blackmore, who conceived and organized this event. Please join us for an evening of service!
