PYOP Q&A

Posted by on June 19, 2017

Planning sessions: June 16 and/or 23
Class: July 7, 14, 21, 28
5-7pm
Instructor: Ann Miner
Cost: planning sessions, no charge, four session class, $40 + materials

Q: What is PYOP?

A: Pick Your Own Project is a class designed to be fully responsive to your own knitting goals. Do you have something you’d like to knit, but it’s just a bit of a stretch skill-wise? PYOP allows you to work at your own pace, but in a supported environment.

Q: Why do I need a class?

A: It’s possible that you don’t. However, many people find that the camaraderie of a class makes the process more enjoyable, and my goal is to help you identify potentially sticky spots, and work through them with confidence.

Q: What if I pick a project that uses a technique you aren’t familiar with?

A: One of my favorite things about my work is that there is always something new to learn. I don’t claim to be an expert on everything you might want to do, but I *do* like research and learning new things myself.

Q: Why are there two planning sessions?

A: Even with a small class size, there are many more variables when people are working on different projects. By offering a couple of complimentary planning sessions, I can better gauge your interests, review your patterns, and gather any resources that might be helpful ahead of time, so that you can spend class time forging ahead on your project.
